Hello everyone,
Happy New Year, and welcome to January 🌱

As we step into a fresh year, I just want to say a heartfelt thank you for your patience, kindness and support over the last few weeks while I’ve been recovering from illness. It really has meant a lot. I’m very much looking forward to being back in the studio and resuming teaching this week from Monday 19th January, feeling rested and ready for a new term of music-making.
📅 Upcoming Dates – Please Note
Just a few important dates for your diaries:
Saturday 31st January – no lessons as we’re taking the day off to celebrate our son’s birthday
Half Term: Monday 16th – Sunday 22nd FebruaryThere will be no lessons during half term
Thank you, as always, for planning around these dates.
🎤 Singdigs – Performance Opportunities
We’re excited to share that Singdigs are coming back, with a brand new venue and new dates announced very soon.
These Shindig-style events are relaxed, supportive performance opportunities where students can share what they’ve been working on — no pressure, no perfection required. Performing in front of others helps build confidence, resilience, communication skills and self-belief, all of which are hugely valuable life skills, whether students pursue music long-term or not.
More details coming shortly — watch this space!

🔔 Important Reminders
A few gentle reminders to help lessons run smoothly:
Student Packs: Please bring your student pack to every lesson. This is where we keep sheet music, tabs, lyrics and practice diaries.
Zoom Lessons: If your lesson is online, please ensure Original Audio is enabled every time, otherwise we won’t be able to hear your instrument properly.
Prime Time Lessons (4pm–8pm):These slots have a no-cancellation policy. If you can’t attend:
You may switch to Zoom
request a lesson in video format with guidance
book the time off before the month starts so we can offer it to an ad-hoc student
we can try to arrange a swap for that week
If we ever need to cancel, we will always offer a make-up slot or credit your account.
