Layston Music - June 2024 Newsletter

We hope this newsletter finds you well. We apologise for the delay in getting this out to you, but we have lots of exciting news and updates to share as we head into the last half term of the academic year!

Welcome Back!

We are now in the final stretch of the school year. Our last lessons will be on Monday, 5th August 2024. The new term will begin on Tuesday, 27th August 2024. We look forward to seeing everyone back and ready to continue their musical journeys.

Exciting New Offerings

We are thrilled to announce that our sister company, Song And Sound, is now fully operational, providing a range of wellness-focused music services. These include:

- Song Therapy and Music Mentoring Sessions: Tailored to enhance well-being through the power of music, in schools and private bookings.

- Sound Journey (Sound Baths): Designed for relaxation and overall wellness, offering a unique and immersive experience. Weekly sessions are being held on Tuesday evenings in Royston.

New Songwriting Sessions

We are introducing new weekly songwriting sessions at Outside of the Box CIC in Royston town centre. These sessions are scheduled as follows:

- Under 12s: Tuesdays at 3:30 PM

- Over 12s: Tuesdays at 4:45 PM

This is a fantastic opportunity for young songwriters to develop their skills and creativity in a supportive environment.

Upcoming Exams

For those planning to take music exams this term, the exam date is set for Saturday, 13th July, between 1 PM and 4:30 PM. Please confirm your availability for this date as soon as possible so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Important Reminders

We are currently fully booked and, unfortunately, cannot accommodate swaps. Please remember that all lessons for each half term must be paid for, regardless of attendance. Sessions must be booked off before the start of each half term to ensure proper scheduling.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We are excited about the remainder of the term and all the wonderful musical experiences we will share.
